Volunteering and Parent Involvement

At CMMS, we believe that strong and consistent parental participation is crucial to the academic and social success of our children and is vital to our institution as a whole.

Country Meadows’ volunteers provides the framework through which parent volunteer efforts are organized and coordinated. Volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated for both school-wide events and directly in the classroom.

The following CMMS events provide school-wide volunteer opportunities throughout the school year:

  • Annual Fall School Picnic

  • Spring Fundraising Event

  • Autumn Fest

  • Grandparents Day

  • Family Valentine’s Day Dance

  • Teacher Appreciation Luncheon

Classroom Room Parents coordinate volunteers to work directly in the classroom. Volunteers lead projects with the students, help produce plays, tend classroom gardens, plan class picnics and socials, chaperone field trips, bake goodies and organize a variety of other classroom projects.

Community Relations

Word of mouth is the best way to make new friends and supporters of Country Meadows Montessori. Volunteer “ambassadors” are needed to help e-mail information about CMMS to the community, hand out flyers for fundraising events, and contact local businesses to form strategic partnerships and obtain donations. Marketing expertise is highly valued.

Transportation and Field Trip Chaperones

Volunteers are always needed to help drive students to field trips or chaperone groups if they walk or ride the bus.

Extracurricular Activity Coordinators

Would you like to help CMMS organize a student art show, career day, science fair, or field day? Your ideas are encouraged and welcome.

FundRaising

Each year parents are asked to invest in our school’s success and to share the excitement as we continue to expand the educational gifts we give our children.
